Top 5 Picks
GK – Foster ($4,500) faces Swansea this weekend who have
only scored 8 goals in their first 15 Premier League matches. Foster has kept 4
clean sheets so far this season and West Brom will be looking for their first
win under new boss Alan Pardew. I’m expecting West Brom to be fully up for this
one and Foster to collect another clean sheet.
D- Gibbs ($4,200) just like Foster above
Gibbs faces Swansea. Gibbs had a lot of potential at the start of his career at
Arsenal but he never kicked on. Gibbs is very comfortable with the ball at his
feet and will get a lot of chances to break higher up the pitch this weekend, which
should give him more chances to deliver crosses. Last game week he faced
Crystal Palace who are also low down in the league like Swansea and he delivered
5 crosses during the game on his way to 8 points.
M – Mahrez ($7,300) is a fantastic price this game week. Two seasons ago this man
was unstoppable. He has scored 13 FPTS and 12 FPTS in his last 2 game weeks. I
think Mahrez is a must play across all lines this weekend. Mahrez has sent in
four or more crosses in six matches so far this season and he will certainly be
looking to add to that tally against low lying Newcastle. Mahrez has been
playing in a slightly different position this season behind the striker but he
still has 4 assists and 3 goals to his name.
F- Kane ($12,400) has taken 80 shots
already this Premier League season and will be certainly looking to add to this
tally against Stoke this weekend. Kane is the highest price player this game week
and I wouldn’t want to leave him out of my team. His last three Premier League games has seen
him average over 15 FPTS and I think he will be scoring around that total again
this week.
Cheap Option – Cleverley ($4,600) is a bargain play this
week as he has been the last few weeks. With Holebas out of the squad, Cleverley
has been the man to take most of the set piecess. In his last three games he
has delivered 20 crosses on his way to making 30 FPTS, which is a large amount
of points for the price he is. As long as Hughes and Holebas are out of the
team Cleverley will be staying in the lineup.
