5 Picks
GK – De Gea ($5,800) made five saves in last weekends 0-0 draw at
Liverpool. He now has 7 clean sheets to his name this season, only conceded 2
goals all season. This week Man Utd face Huddersfield away where they will be
heavily backed favorites to win convincingly. Huddersfield aren’t shy at having
a go at teams so I expect DeGea will have a few saves to make this weekend.
D- Young ($4,900) has moved into the wingback position for Man Utd and
recorded his highest number of crosses in a match this season against
Liverpool. This week Young faces Huddersfield and will have the chance to push
higher up the field a lot in a game where Man Utd will create a lot of chances.
This is a cheap price for a Man Utd wing back defender considering Blind is
$6,000 although he is on Man Utd corners. Young used to play as an attacking
winger and isn’t afraid to get forward and take a shot.
M – Zaha ($6,300) is back and boy did Crystal Palace miss him. Palace
are coming off their first victory and goal of the season against Chelsea. No
one gave them a chance to win that game, myself included. Zaha scored his first goal of the season and
is playing without fear after scoring 17 points last weekend. This week Crystal
Palace will face Newcastle in a game where the 3 points will be vital for both
teams. I expect Zaha to have another big game. I also expect his price to rise
dramatically over the next couple of game weeks.
F- Vardy ($6,900) going against the norm this weekend. Of course you
could pick some of the big name strikers but I just feel like Vardy could sneak
a few points this week away at Swansea. As I am writing this Leicester sacked
their manager Craig Shakespeare. Usually after a sacking the team raises their
game the following week. Up against Swansea this weekend I think Vardy will
have too much pace for their backline and will get his name on the score sheet.
He hasn’t scored in his last 2 games but I expect him to have plenty of chances
to finish that streak this weekend.
Cheap Option – Delph ($4,700) has been playing as a left back for Manchester City
since Mendy’s injury instead of his usual Centre Midfield where he struggles to
get a game for Man City. Delphs new
position has seen his price rise over the weeks and I expect him to be highly
owned this week as he is now listed as a defender. Last week he scored 12
points in Man Citys 7-2 win over Stoke with an assist, a shot, a shot on goal
and a couple of tackles one to his name.
