With Goalkeepers there are 2 ways…the easy way and the hard
way. Depending on if you are playing cash or tournament games may depend on what
option you take when you pick a goalkeeper.
The easy way is picking the Goalkeeper who has the best
chance of winning their game and also keeping a clean sheet (not concede a
goal). You get +5 points for a win and +5
points for a clean sheet so it can be an easy way to collect +10 points. Especially look out for teams higher up the
table against weaker teams for this option.
The hard way is to try and find a team with a tougher match
up. Mid to lower table teams are often good for this as they get plenty of
shots against them. This then means the Goalkeeper will have more saves to
make. Every save a goalkeeper makes they collect +2 points, therefore if the
goalkeeper makes 10 saves and his team then snatches a shock 1-0 win you are
collecting +30 points. Also with picking lower league goalkeepers there is
usually a low ownership percentage therefore boasting you in the rankings.
However, if this option goes wrong and your goalkeepers team loses heavily, you
could be in for a negative score.
